Interview with Douglas Valentine. A World War Two combat veteran, Knight graduated Harvard in 1950 and applied for work with the CIA and FBN. The FBN called first and hired Knight in the fall of 1950. He served two years in New York City and the rest of his career overseas, in Rome, Beirut, Paris, and numerous other places. In 1960 Knight went to work for the CIA, working under FBN cover and/or as an employee of Pan American Airlines. He opened the BNDD office in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1969, and finished his service as the DEA Agent in Charge of European Operations (1972-1975) based in Paris.
